Introducing: Yonca Akdagcık

Can you briefly explain your background?

I am working as TQR Manager for Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. I have 25 years’ experience with a strong background with management systems and accreditation standards. One of my favorite functional areas is  designing and implementing of training courses within quality management system and accreditation standards to improve quality and accreditation awareness within the organization.

Describe your role at BV?

I am responsible from the TQR processes of five entities in the district. My main responsibility is to improve BV’s performance in the area of technical know-how and competences, technical accreditations, technical integrity, quality management and risk management. Under this responsibility, I manage portfolio of licenses to operate, initiate internal TQR audits and coordinate external audits, plan and initiate TQR training courses, monitor contract review, qualification, corrective action, complaint and appeal process.

Elaborate an experience in BV that you feel empowered.

Management makes me feel empowered by relaying on my knowledge and experience in Technical Quality Risk Management and support my decisions. I feel proud knowing that my skills are appreciated and my work is trustworthy.

What do you want to advice to other women?

When you know the requirements of your job well and in details and if you dominate your work, nobody can remind you that you are a woman.
