Bureau Veritas has been awarded the Owner's Engineering services contract by TotalEnergies for solar project in Iraq
Bureau Veritas, a world leader in testing, inspection and certification, will provide Owner's Engineering services for 1.25 GW photovoltaic (PV) project in Ratawi, Iraq by TotalEnergies.
This project, developed by TotalEnergies and QatarEnergy in partnership with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, is a step towards sustainable energy infrastructure, advancing Iraq's energy landscape. The project is part of Gas Growth Integrated Project (GGIP) in Iraq and slated for development from 2025 to 2027. The solar project is planned to have two million bifacial solar panels mounted on single-axis trackers.
Under the agreement, Bureau Veritas will offer an extensive range of services for the solar PV plant, substation, and overhead lines, including detailed design review, project management, and manufacturing quality control and assurance. Additionally, Bureau Veritas will oversee module testing and provide bridging engineering services.
