Webinar: Addressing

Commercial and Industrial PV Issues in the Middle East

Jun. 16 2022
Summary

The power sector is on the front line of the fight against climate change. Many countries in Middle East announced their ambitious commitments for renewable capacity and net zero targets to accelerate the energy transition in the region.

The pace of renewable capacity growth in the MENA is expected to double over the next five years, compared to the last five years, from 15 GW to over 32 GW. One common driver is the cost effectiveness of solar PV to meet climate goals and fossil fuel diversification needs. Solar PV accounts for more than two-thirds of the region’s renewable capacity growth.

Even though the solar PV market is growing mainly via utility-scale and a small portion of C&I solar solutions by which both will have their own advantages for the energy transition, the commercial and industrial (C&I) solar sector is still not well regulated at the moment in some countries. Regulations will motivate the development of solar rooftop market and avoid un-proper quality of installations.

Join the Live Webinar where Bureau Veritas - Kevin Gharabaghi, Global Technical Practice Lead - Solar in collaboration with SirajPower – Laurent Longuet, Chief Executive Officer, and Sungrow Power MENA - Diaa Eed, Strategic Business Director, will take a closer look at the unique PV sector that is Commercial and Industrial (C&I) and discuss its dynamics and its challenges to support organizations of all sizes in better understanding how to navigate the complexity of such projects in the Middle East.
