THE AIM The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and thirdparty audits of Food Safety management systems against ISO 22000:2018, in accordance with ISO 19011 and ISO 17021, as applicable. All references in this document to ISO standards are to the current versions unless stated otherwise. Delegates who complete this CQI and IRCA Certified ISO 22000 Lead Auditor (FSMS) Training course successfully (within the three years prior to making an application to become a certificated auditor) will satisfy the training requirements for initial certification as a CQI-IRCA Certificated FSMS au
PREREQUISITES
- Completion of secondary education. An understanding of report writing is desirable
- Experience in food chains and the principles that apply to them (HACCP, GMP, GAP legislation…), and an understanding of relevant key food safety legislation & prerequisite programmes.
- A prior knowledge of the requirements of ISO 22000 is required. A minimum requirement is that the standard must be read before the course
Note: those candidates who are qualified auditors in other disciplines (QMS, EMS, etc.) and have experience in food safety management may find the 3-day CQI-IRCA FSMS Auditor Conversion training course more appropriate. - Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 22000, which may be gained by completing an IRCA certified FSMS Foundation Training course or equivalent / by self study of the ISO 22000 standard
