INTRODUCING: NAEEMA HUSSAIN

Can you briefly explain your background and describe your role at BV?

I began my professional career at Bureau Veritas in 2017 as a receptionist. From the very beginning, I was passionate towards the human resources field and after completing courses in HR and office management, my current role at BV is HR Administrative Assistant. This role can be demanding at times where you have to concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously. However, this role also gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when all tasks are completed successfully. In addition to this, I have been assigned a new role as secretary to country chief executive. 

Elaborate an experience in BV that you feel empowered.

It is challenging to pinpoint a singular experience. Nevertheless, the foremost one that springs to mind pertains to the manner in which my superiors have demonstrated confidence in my capabilities by entrusting me with various roles. Recognition of my work makes me feel truly empowered.

What do you want to advice to other women?

My advice to other women is to never give up on yourself and your dreams. Every woman is capable of accomplishing the impossible. Being a woman is certainly not a disadvantage. I thought I was not capable to hold a job in a fast paced work environment and be a mom at the same time. But here I am, with the support of my BV team and an excellent work environment; I see myself getting more confident in my abilities and achieving personal and professional growth.
