Introducing: VENKATARAMAKRISHNA MUNUGANTI

 

Can you briefly explain your background?

With a Master's in Food Science & Technology since 1986, I've navigated a diverse career in the food industry. Initially, I managed operations in India for six years, refining my skills as a Food Factory Manager. Subsequently, in Nigeria and Oman, I further honed my expertise over another eight years, excelling in team leadership and quality management. Joining Bureau Veritas in 2007, I brought decades of industry insight, starting as a Lead Auditor and then became ICC head for Food for Non-European countries. My journey here has been marked by exponential growth, advancing through leadership roles and started working as Regional Technical Manager for the last two years. 

Describe your role at BV?

As the  Regional Technical Manager at Bureau Veritas, my primary responsibilities revolve around ensuring comprehensive compliance with the Bureau Veritas CER Management System across all certification activities within the MER and CAS region. Monitoring technical parameters on a regional level is integral to my role, as these factors directly impact the LTO (License to Operate). By staying vigilant and proactive in this regard, I contribute to maintaining and improving operational efficiencies,  compliance to different ISO standards that govern the certification business as well as  accreditation body  requirements. 

What’s your greatest professional achievement and your biggest challenge?

My greatest professional achievement lies in spearheading the streamlining of technical operations across multiple regions, notably in Dubai and Abu Dhabi during their initial stages of development. Through strategic planning, meticulous execution, and effective Technical strengths, I played a pivotal role in establishing robust technical frameworks and operational protocols, fostering efficiency, consistency, and compliance within these dynamic environments. Despite the multifaceted challenges encountered, I leveraged innovative approaches and relentless determination to overcome obstacles and drive harmonization, standardization, and continuous improvement across the MER and CAS regions.

In my daily work, I contribute to 'Shaping a World of Trust' by prioritizing integrity, accountability, and transparency. Through meticulous attention to detail and consistent adherence to ethical standards, I strive to foster trust with colleagues and clients alike, ultimately contributing to a culture of reliability and integrity within the organization.
